Youth Committee
Aptitude Youth Work are looking for a small number of young people to form a Youth Committee.

As part of this committee young people will be empowered:

To submit NEW IDEAS & provide Youth Workers with SUGGESTIONS for change.

To make an IMPACT on the way Aptitude Youth Work deliver their Youth Programme.

To make a DIFFERENCE in your community & in wider Coventry.

To play a VITAL role in ensuring that all YOUNG PEOPLE are ACTIVELY LISTENED to.

What is a Youth Committee?
Also known as a Youth Steering Group, Youth Voice or Youth Council. The best bit about a Youth Committee is that it is Youth Led, so it can be whatever young people want it to be! In the early stages it’s about establishing the core values that each Youth Committee member will respect and demonstrate.

A Youth Committee is all about giving all young people a platform to express themselves and make positive changes with Youth Development and aspects within the local community.
​
An important part of a Youth Committee is bringing young people together with diverse experiences, knowledge, perspectives, backgrounds, identities, and cultural differences to work together inspire one another, Youth Workers and young people and adults.
As a Youth Committee develops, young people will play vital role in decision-making with Youth Workers and will be given the opportunity to lead on and initiate action.
