POST 1: Youth Engagement Programme Co-ordinator (Part-Time, 20 hrs) Coventry
Location: Coventry (Various venues)
Pay: £16,640 actual annual salary
Contract: Fixed Term 12 months (until 31st October 2026)
Core Hours: Mon–Thurs afternoons/evenings & Friday daytime
Do you thrive in youth work and love coordinating impactful sessions? Are you able to lead teams? Do you have excellent written and verbal communication skills? Do you have strong digital and technology skills?
You’ll manage session planning, lead weekly clubs, support staff, and engage young people aged 8–18. A flexible, organised approach is essential to thrive in this rewarding role.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver and co-ordinate youth clubs, sports, leadership, and holiday activities.

Supervise and support sessional staff, including rota management.

Lead on session planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding (Deputy DSL role).

Promote programmes via social media and community engagement.
Requirements:
-
2+ years’ experience working with young people (8–25).
-
Level 3 Youth Work qualification (or equivalent).

Knowledge of safeguarding.
-
Full UK driving licence and own car.
POST 2: Youth Workers (Sessional) 3hrs per week – Part-time, evenings in Coventry (CV6)
Salary: £1,872 – £2,088 per year (depending on experience & qualifications)
Hours: 3 hrs per week (Mon or Thurs, 5:30–8:30pm) + ad-hoc cover/holiday work
Contract: 6 months (possible extension)

What you’ll need:

Youth Work qualification (Level 2 or 3, or equivalent)

2+ years’ experience working face-to-face with young people

A car & full driving licence

Main Purpose of the role:
As a Volunteer for Aptitude Youth Work, you will support the delivery of Youth Club and/or Multi-Sport session. This role will also include detached youth engagement work and be a young people’s mentor to build positive relationships and develop their self-esteem and confidence.

Location: Coventry - areas included Radford, Foleshill, Wood End and Bell Green.
Office Base: The Crez, Jubilee Crescent Community Centre, Radford, Coventry CV6 3EX.
